Annual Income Calculator

Enter your hourly wage, hours per week and weeks worked to see your gross annual income, then pick a state to estimate what you keep after 2026 federal, FICA and state taxes.

How to Calculate Annual Income

Annual income = hourly wage x hours per week x weeks per year.

Example: $30 x 40 x 52 = $62,400. For a salary paid per period, multiply by the number of pay periods: $2,500 x 24 = $60,000, or $1,800 x 26 = $46,800.

Annual Income With Multiple Jobs or Income Sources

Add up gross pay from every job: use the calculator once for each job, then sum the annual amounts. Bonuses, commissions and overtime count as income. Tax is figured on the total, so two jobs can push part of your income into a higher bracket. A second job also needs the W-4 Step 2 adjustment; see W-4 withholding.

What Hourly Wage Do You Need for a Target Income?

Divide the target by 2,080 hours. $100,000 a year needs about $48.08 an hour, $75,000 needs $36.06, and $50,000 needs $24.04. Use the salary to hourly calculator to change hours and weeks.

Annual Income and Taxes

The take-home estimate uses the standard deduction, 2026 brackets, Social Security and Medicare, and simplified state rules. It does not include other income, itemized deductions or local taxes. The result shows your effective tax rate: total tax divided by gross income.

Annual Income for Benefits and Loans

Programs such as health insurance subsidies or mortgage lenders may define income differently from a paycheck, for example using modified adjusted gross income or averaged income. Use this tool for planning and check the rules of the program.
